What is a Serdev Suture midface lift? I have read that it is scarless; is this true?
Answer:
The suture midface lift is a technique used to perform a midface lift. This procedure does not involve any incisions. Instead is uses small sutures that are slid underneath the skin to help elevate the deeper tissues. The idea is that the sutures are pulled and the deeper tissues are elevated. This is similar in concept to the «threadlift» done here in the U.S. before it was removed from the market. Did I say removed from the market? Yes. The reason they were removed from the market was because they did not work. Although the idea of elevating the midface without any incisions and minimal downtime sounds great, in realty, these suture elevation procedures do not have any lasting effects.
